Beauty Blog Lingo

After chatting with some good friends this weekend (Thanks Marie!), it was brought to my attention that I do have readers out there…HI EVERYONE!!! Haha! She also told me that she had no idea what UDPP was, which is a very valid question since I use it in nearly every post! So I thought that I’d put up a list of some abbreviations that are used in beauty blogs. Here are a few of the important ones…IMO ;-)
- BBR – refers to the MAC collection Brunette, Blond, Redhead
- BNIB – Brand New In Box
- CK – Calvin Klein
- e/s – Eyeshadow
- EOTD – Eyes of the Day
- FL or f/l – Fluidline
- FOTD – Face of the Day
- HG – Holy Grail
- HTH – Hope This/That Helps
- IMHO – In My Honest Opinion
- IMO – In My Opinion
- IRL – In Real Life
- l/g – Lipgloss or Lipglass
- l/l – Lipliner
- l/s – Lipstick
- MA – Makeup Artist or MAC Artist
- MLBB – My Lips But Better
- MUA – MakeUp Artist
- MUFE – Makeup Forever
- NIB – New In Box
- NOTD – Nails of the Day
- OTT – Over the Top
- PP – Paint Pot
- UDPP – Urban Decay Primer Potion
- UDPPS – Urban Decay Primer Potion in Sin
- VG – Viva Glam
- WOC – Women of Color
If you’re a beauty blog junkie like me (or occasionally read some) and can think of some more, please add them in the comments. Thanks so much! HTH ;-)
