For this look I used:

Swatches: Fyrinnae Part II

See Part I here. This is one of my large Fyrinnae orders, and the second one I ever made (which was much more recently). The ones with the black circle lids are full sizes, and the clear ones are minis. I have to say, I really love the jars they have the full sized ones in. They are the only ones I have found that don’t let the pigment leak into the sides, which makes a mess when you open and close them. These stay nice and neat!

Read more for swatches! All of these are swatched with a q-tip over Fyrinnae’s Pixie Epoxy. I took several pictures in different lighting and different angles of each set of swatches to make sure I captured as much of the depth of the shadows as I could. Any new lemmings? See any you LOVE??

Swatches: Fyrinnae Part I

These were my first ever Fyrinnae shadows. I got them several years ago…used a few, then stopped. I recently dug them all out and swatched them. I really didn’t like how they would get everywhere when you opened and closed the lids, but Fyrinnae’s full sized jars take care of that problem. Anyway, on to some swatches, eh?

These are all swatched dry first, then wet using MAC’s water based Mixing Medium. And, as always, I took lots of pictures in different lighting so you could really see how some of these amazing colors shift (like Sorceress)!

Look: Black Base Yields Green

I love wearing greens. This time, I switched it up a little. As a base, I used black, then layered green pigments over it. The color on the inner lid is actually a pretty sheer white pigment with green undertones. Look how it pops over the black! The middle color is more gold than green, but it fits the category. I was really happy with the way this look turned out. And the lipgloss kicks butt – I love it! There’s just no better combo than green with gold and coral! :-)

Look: Fyrinnae Pinks & Purples

I’m soooo into these indie brands lately! I am really loving pigments more than anything else right now. I’m sure it’s a phase, but it’s a phase that I’m really enjoying! Fyrinnae is ONE of the best brands out there (only available online), and I have lots of pigments from this company. Everything is vegan, and they have their very own chemist making the cosmetics. What is so great about this company is that you can order samples of the pigments for less than $2 each! And a sample from Fyrinnae is bigger than a little baggie – it’s a small jar that would take you LOTS of looks to finish. I love this brand and am currently plotting my next order. However, everyone else out there seems to love them too, so sometimes they take down their site to control the number of orders, and shipping does take time. They’re a small company, but WELL worth the wait!

Look: Mesmerizing Fyrinnae Teals

I love teals! I think greens and teals are my favorite colors to do looks with. I rarely get out my Fyrinnae colors because they’re just so messy! Even just opening the container gets dust all over my fingers and counter. But when it all comes together nicely, ahhh…I just love it :-)

Look: Dark Blue Fyrinnae Colors

I was in a hurry…my palette shadows were in the living room…so I grabbed my Fyrinnae colors and went to work. I did a dark blue eye. I liked it – smokey, sultry, a little dark. Nothing to it really – seriously only 3 colors total and I was done. Quick and easy…ok not really that easy because Fyrinnae colors are pigments so I have fall-out problems with them.

Sorry I haven’t posted all weekend! I went to Long Beach to meet up with my college roommates and catch up. We had a lot of fun, and it was great seeing them.

Look: Yellow to Green

Greens are my favorite color to wear…in case you were wondering hehe. I based this look off of a loose Fyrinnae pigment I have called Boytoy (dark green). I ordered some samples from them a long time ago because they’re so cheap – samples at like $3.75 each is a steal! So after I put on the primer and base, I actually started this look with this color, then worked around it to build the fade. As you can see, it’s highly pigmented…really nice color!
