Look: Shady Lady Amazing!

The last time I did a haul at Sephora, I came across this small square palette. It’s called the Shady Lady palette. Now, if you know me, you know that I’m somewhat of a makeup snob. I stick to brands I know and rarely branch out. Something compelled me to swatch these beauties, and they are so buttery soft, so well pigmented, *sigh* I just had to buy them. It was a palette, and around $30, so I felt it was a score. I’ve used every color and never looked back :-)

I’ve used this palette so many times, and I love the color variety! This is the original palette, but it looks like Volume 2 is out now at Sephora. If you’re looking for an awesome quick-look-and-go palette, this does NOT disappoint. And this is coming from me, and I’m verrrrrry particular about my shadows :-)

Now on to the look. This is one of a few I’ve made with this lovely palette. It was back in January, so I’m still dressed for cold weather :-)

Look: Green Theme (new fav!)

This is one of my new favorite looks! I’m gonna end up posting it twice, but to tell the truth, I’ve worn it 3 times since I did this one. *giggle* It’s surprisingly simple actually (well, the shadow part anyway). I wasn’t sold on the lip color, so I when I did it the second time, I went more nude and orangy-coral. Plus, this one was with glasses, so that hides it a little. Since I wear daily-disposable contacts, I didn’t want to waste a whole pair on only a dinner/evening out (husband’s friend’s birthday dinner). So…anyway, there you go. I <3 GREEN SHADOWS!!!

Look: Bold RED Lips with Black Gloss

In my opinion, wearing red (and I mean RED) lipstick all day long is incredibly difficult. After only an hour, I’m pressing my lips together hoping that it’s not clumping or fading or bleeding, etc. Even with how hard it is, I still attempt to pull it off from time to time. This is quite a bold look for me, and instead of wearing a red gloss, I opted for a black (yes, black) gloss! Newly launched by Lancome is it’s Piha Black Lipgloss – it’s black with silver sparkles in it, and it’s pretty sheer. No, it’s not just for Halloween. It really deepened up the lipstick color. I thought the eyes turned out a little too dark and smokey, but it was ok because after lunch, I switched so just some neutral lipgloss haha! Ah well, I tried!

Look: Gold, Orange, & Pink

A slightly colorful look I did last week. I absolutely LOVE the way it turned out! The colors blended together really nicely and I’m totally in love with the lip color: Lancome’s new Downtown Pink plumping lipgloss. I had to include a few full face shots because the colors just came out so nicely. Enjoy!  :-)
