Here is another look using more of the items from the MAC Venomous Villains collection. I used at least one thing from the eyes, to the cheeks, to the lips – all from that collection!

Look: Kat Von D Metal Palette

Well, for this look, all I know for the shadows is that I used the ones from the Kat Von D Metal Palette. I never wrote down which ones, but luckily there is a limited amount in there. It’s very blue. Not sure if I like it that much, but here it is…

Look: New Years Eve Dark Eyes

We went to a friend’s New Years party – it wasn’t wild or anything, but the dress code was “semi-formal,” so we got some nice clothes on and I decided to do a really dark eye look. It’s really a classic smokey, but ultra dark. So naturally, I did lighter on the lips. It was a good look for me because I felt sexy and confident, my lips were easy to reapply with or without a mirror, and I wasn’t self conscious about my lips fading while I drank, ate, talked, etc. The evening was a lot of fun!!

For this look I used:

Look: Matching with Orange

Orange can be a difficult color to match with. Since I got the NARS Mediteranee e/s duo, I wanted to wear it. So I chose a nice outfit with brown and decided to pair it with some brown shadows with gold highlights. I really like the end results. I know that orange eyeshadow can be a very bright color for some people to pull off, but if you can do it, I think you should!

Look: Smokey Electra

This is a take on the smokey gray eyes with a MLBB (my lips, but better) color. It’s simple white, gray, and black blended together to make it look smokey. It’s a great look for going out (even though I’m wearing this one to work…in a t-shirt ha!). But that’s just the way I am I guess. :-) Happy New Year to you and your families!

Look: Pigments Barely Used (great for fall)

This is a great fall look – a type of burnt orangish color, and I love the way it looks. It’s pretty bold. Fall is coming…it’s in the air…can you feel it…? (I can’t yet…it’s too hot lol!)

Look: My Cousin’s Wedding

My little cousin Mallory got married in the little town of Abilene, TX. I was in her “House Party” which means pretty much nothing, but I got to walk down the isle with a wrist flower and be special for a night because we’re related, which was really nice. It was a freaking beautiful wedding. Parts of it were simple, and parts of it were exquisite. I was asked to wear a black dress, so this is the makeup I decided to wear with the black dress, evening, 450 people attending wedding. Simple, matte, neutral eyes and dark lips. At first I went with a dark silvery lipstick (Chantecaille’s Luna), but my husband said it looked like it was for a funeral. So I switched to the YSL #41, which I felt was too bright. So thank goodness I brought that black gloss – it was so perfect to darken up the lip color! As my mom said,” Who would’a thunk?!” She even wanted to try some on top of her mauve lipstick! Haha!

Look: 4th of July with Red Lips

It was one of the best 4th of July’s I’ve had in a long time. We went over to our friend’s place around 1pm and stayed until after 1 in the morning! We ate bbq, chips & dip, drank some wine and beer, played poker, hung out at the spa, played Apples to Apples, and watched fireworks. Of course there was also a lot of laughter and good conversation too. Today’s my friend Marie’s birthday, so I gotta give her a shout out – Happy Birthday Marie! Ok now on to what I wore…

It was a toss up between wearing a blue shirt and doing bright blue eyes or wearing a red shirt and doing red lips. I threw both around for a while because I like the red shirt better, but red lips is hard to keep up with all day long! In the end, I decided to go with the shirt that I felt was more flattering, and decided to keep up with the red lips, and it worked! Thank you YSL!

Tutorial: Navy & Lighter Shades Look

Yay my very first tutorial! I wore this look two days in a row, and figured that the second time, I’d turn it into a pictorial step-by-step. Well, it’s not a video, but maybe this’ll give you some idea of how this look is put together. Please let me know if this is helpful at all or give me some feedback as to how I can make it better, and I’ll try to do more if you’d like :-) Thanks for looking!

For this look I used:

Eyes: UDPPS (primer), Bare Study PP (base), Bright Side (inner & middle lid), marbled side of Polar Opposite (outer lid & crease), navy blue side of Inter-View (outer crease), light pink side of Word-of-Mouth (highlight), Bobbi Brown Sapphire Shimmer Ink (upper & lower lashline), Chanel Exceptionnel mascara.

Lips: YSL Rouge Pur #132

Get step-by-step instructions with pictures along the way for how to get this look.

Start with your naked eye.

Apply UDPP Sin from lashline to brow.

Using the 242, apply Bare Study PP to the lid to just above the crease.

With the 217 brush, pick up a navy blue color (I used the marbled side of Polar Opposites MES) and starting from the outer crease, use a windshield wiper motion to bring color to the center crease. Keep going back and forth until blended.

This is what you should have.

This is another shot of what it should look like.

Next, using the 213 brush, pick up a neutral color (I used Bright Side MES) and apply it all over the central lid area, blending from the inner corner out. Use a tapping motion to blend more.

This is what you should have.

Here I used a Lorac brush (skinnier less dense version of the 213) to apply a highlight color (I used the light pink side of Word of Mouth MES). Sweep the color lightly under the brow bone and blend in the crease color.

Use the 226 to swirl in some dark navy blue or black (I used the navy side of Inter-view MES) and put it right in the outer corner of the crease. It only goes about 1/3 of the way in and should be slightly more defined.

This is where that dark color should stop.

And this is what you should have.

Using an angled liner brush, apply Bobbi Brown Sapphire Shimmer Ink to the upper lashline. I do it in small strokes, working from the middle first, then outer lid, then inner lid blended usually.

Line the lower lashline the same way stopping about 2/3 of the way in. Fill in your brows with your choice (I use Bare Escentuals Brunette color brow powder and a brow brush).

This is what you should have.

Apply black mascara…and Voila!

I dug into my mineral shadows for this look. I really liked the way it came together. Reminds me of the Kim Kard. look I did a little while back. Oh, lovin the BB Shimmer Ink too!
