Look: New Years Eve Dark Eyes

We went to a friend’s New Years party – it wasn’t wild or anything, but the dress code was “semi-formal,” so we got some nice clothes on and I decided to do a really dark eye look. It’s really a classic smokey, but ultra dark. So naturally, I did lighter on the lips. It was a good look for me because I felt sexy and confident, my lips were easy to reapply with or without a mirror, and I wasn’t self conscious about my lips fading while I drank, ate, talked, etc. The evening was a lot of fun!!

Look: Smokey Electra

This is a take on the smokey gray eyes with a MLBB (my lips, but better) color. It’s simple white, gray, and black blended together to make it look smokey. It’s a great look for going out (even though I’m wearing this one to work…in a t-shirt ha!). But that’s just the way I am I guess. :-) Happy New Year to you and your families!

Look: Happy Halloween!

I know I know, long time, no post! I actually am home all weekend, and I did a neat little Halloween look to go out to lunch and hang around the house with, and I took the time to take pictures and post it for you! :-) I’m not really into costumes and crazy (crazier?) makeup. MAC actually asked me to work today, but I passed, as I am surely not experienced at doing halloween makeup. So what kind of makeup do you wear on halloween when you don’t wear a costume? Black and Orange of course! It looks really nice IRL…the fade looks fantastic, but I’m not sure how well the camera captured it. But also, this is a neat look for me because it’s the first one I’ve documented in our new house!!! :-D

Look: Silver on Black

I absolutely adore looking at Padmita’s 1 looks. I don’t know if it’s because of her gorgeous light blue eyes, but she wears white liner on the waterline like no other! I envy her skills, her eye color, her creativeness, and her great camera (which takes really nice shots). So I went for the white waterline, but on me I think it looks kinda scary. Maybe I’m just not used to it? What’s your take?

Look: Mesmerizing Fyrinnae Teals

I love teals! I think greens and teals are my favorite colors to do looks with. I rarely get out my Fyrinnae colors because they’re just so messy! Even just opening the container gets dust all over my fingers and counter. But when it all comes together nicely, ahhh…I just love it :-)

Look: Smoke in Vegas Casinos

This past weekend we went to Vegas for our end of the season bowling tournament. I got ready for the whole day/night in the morning, and I went for a smokey eyeshadow look. Casinos are usually filled with smoke, so smokey eyes is appropriate right? LOL! I wore a dress out that night – the same one I wore to my students’ graduation . Although I wore just a white t-shirt to bowl in for the morning (which is when I took these pictures). It’s a different look for this dress, and I kinda liked it with my new hair cut. Husband liked it too ;-)

Look: Gold and Black Smokey Hawaiian

For my last day in Kauai, Hawaii, I did this smokey gold and black look. Of course you know that I didn’t bring my entire collection with me…no, not even close. I brought a fraction of it and it was so painful to leave some things behind, but I managed. And the other thing about being here…I don’t want to spend over an hour getting ready, which is difficult for me to do especially when my stuff is all over the place in different bags and containers. My family gets on my case when I take too long, and it’s so much more difficult without my close-up mirror and everything. Anyway, I was wearing my favorite black shirt and kakhi pants for a day of shopping, hanging by the pool-side bar, and just walking around. So this is the look I chose to go with it. Aloha!

Look: A Night in Hawaii

This was from my first “real” night in Kauai. We spent all day at the beach right outside the Marriott where we’re staying. Beautiful day. I did this look just because I felt like doing full makeup :-) I took some pictures of the view right from our balcony. Beautiful huh?! It’s kind of a frosty-smokey look…enjoy!

Look: My Attempt at Kim Kardashian’s Look

I found some video tutorials done by Kim Kardashian and her makeup artist, so I decided to try to do it myself. This was my first attempt, so it’s not perfect…but I actually liked the way it came out. I am WELL AWARE that I look NOTHING like Kim Kardashian, and I’m not trying to – just trying to copy her makeup :-) I got some nice compliments on it too!
