Look: Bobbi Brown Goes Green

You just can’t beat the silky smoothness of Bobbi Brown shadows. Buttery soft and so pigmented; they’re just amazing! The lipgellee on the other hand…it was brighter than it showed up in the pictures. I ended up returning it. It looks pretty with this look, but it didn’t wear well for me.

I hope everyone has a Happy Valentine’s Day!!

Look: Chameleon

I call this one chameleon because that is what it looks like to me! It’s like it could change color depending on how you look at it…like a duochrome nail polish! It’s got greens and teals and golds… Whoa! I loved how it turned out :-)

Look: All About Yaby!

I told you about when I first discovered Yaby products right? I was at a salon by LAX, and one of my friends who is also into makeup, told me I HAVE to try these pearl paints by Yaby. Of course I had never heard of the up and coming brand from Toronto, but I trusted her. Normally, I don’t give a second look to brands I haven’t heard of (horrible of me or not)…there are enough brands that I have heard of and haven’t tried. She showed me how wonderful they were, how cool the palette is, and how inexpensive they are.

Anyway, I love this brand. I have nearly every Pearl Paint color and some of the regular shadows too. So this is a look I did with some of those colors.

Look: Purples & Greens

Sorry for the long pauses between posts. I have to get back into the habit. I gotta find my camera so I can take pictures of new looks too :-) I think purple and green go well together.

I did a great look today using the new Style Black shadows. I’ll have to do it again after I find my camera and post it. Really smokey eyes :-) My favorite MUA, Denise, made a killing off of me yesterday! I love her :-) I didn’t get the grease paint stick though, and I’m kinda regretting it. Any thoughts? Do you think it’s a must have?

Look: Green Scheme

That Green Theme look I did is one of my new favorites, so I’ve used it a few times already :-) Just changed up the cheeks and lips a bit. I know it’s lame of me to post the same look so soon, but it pops color, there’s contour and shading, and it’s just everything I’m all about, so I love it. I hope you do too!! I think I may need to do this one as a tutorial!

Look: Green Theme (new fav!)

This is one of my new favorite looks! I’m gonna end up posting it twice, but to tell the truth, I’ve worn it 3 times since I did this one. *giggle* It’s surprisingly simple actually (well, the shadow part anyway). I wasn’t sold on the lip color, so I when I did it the second time, I went more nude and orangy-coral. Plus, this one was with glasses, so that hides it a little. Since I wear daily-disposable contacts, I didn’t want to waste a whole pair on only a dinner/evening out (husband’s friend’s birthday dinner). So…anyway, there you go. I <3 GREEN SHADOWS!!!

Look: For the Rehearsal

Well, this look was done for the rehearsal “day” for my cousin’s wedding. She’s 22 and the wedding was in Abilene, TX. First I went and got my nails done with my mom – I chose a Nubar color (blue duochrome) which is really pretty and I wore a black dress for the wedding, so anything would match. Then we went to one of their family friends’ house for a wine and cheese gathering. It was one of the strangest houses I’ve ever seen…and there was no wine, and not a lot of cheese. Very strange. Anyway, then we headed to the church for the rehearsal and a mexican restaurant called “Amanda’s” (mexican?) for dinner. It was a fun day overall. I wanted to do a look that was indicative of me while not doing anything that people would be shocked with. I dunno if I was able to pull off both (since you never really know what people will say about you), but I really liked it. It came out exactly how I wanted it to, so that always makes me happy!

Look: Springtime Pink & Green

I need new color combination ideas. I can’t wait for MAC Graphic Garden because those will be fun colors to put together. I was thinking about pairing up pink and green for this look. Not bright like the Barbie look; just soft colors, but that aren’t overly blended and muddy. I couldn’t think of regular e/s colors that I wanted to use for this look, so I went with all pigments.
