Look: Gorgeous Fire Colors
Posted by Heather | Filed under Gold, Looks, Orange, Red/Maroon, Stars Makeup Haven, Yellow
It may be hard to tell from the pictures, but this is one of my edgy(er) looks. The darkest color in there is some red, so maybe it seems more edgy to me because the colors are so bright. This look is really straight up gold/yellow, orange, and red with black liner. The black liner really pulls it together too. I love wearing this look with a yellow shirt. Everything pops. A guy in my credential program even said something to me, like, whoa…your eyes look cool! It was a nice compliment :-) This look gives me a lot of confidence, but it’s not exactly “professional” so I have to be careful when I wear something this exotic :-) But isn’t it just perfect for summer?!

I did not write down the exact colors on this look either. I know…I suck. I’m getting back into it I promise. I know I could recreate it again if I wanted though. I am pretty sure I used an SMH gold/yellow color, and for sure SMH has that killer red. MAC doesn’t make a kick ass red like that unfortunately. Something about the red dye causing irritation. Whatever. On my lips I’m gonna say a golden gloss, or at least just a gloss with gold in it. For the upper lash liner, you don’t want to use a pencil – I either used Penultimate liner or Bobbi Brown’s Black Ink liner because both dry and don’t budge. They won’t come off on your upper lid. I have to be very careful with that when I wear lighter lid colors. Oooh I love this look!!! You gotta see some more (many more) pictures below. I have to wear this again soon, and when I do, I’ll document the exact colors if you’d like to know :-)

Look: Notoriety w/ Some Glitz
Posted by Heather | Filed under Bobbi Brown, Brown, Looks, MAC, NARS, Orange
For this look I used the MAC Notoriety Quad. I added some NARS Mediteranee and some Reflects Copper Glitter to make it more shimmery. Unfortunately I don’t think the camera picked up on the glitter much because it’s so fine. Oh well. I rarely use the reflects glitters and I thought it would be fun. I did this look on a Sunday when we were going to Roy’s for my sister-in-law’s birthday. It was very ME because it’s bright, colorful, and dramatic! :-)

For this look I used
- Eyes: UDPP (primer), Painterly PP (base), Notoriety Quad: Skintone 2 (inner lid), Rich & Earthly (middle lid), Notoriety (outer lid & crease), Skintone 1 (highlight), NARS Mediteranee (inner & middle lid), Reflects Copper Glitter (middle lid), NARS Mekong (crease), Bobbi Brown Chocolate Shimmer Ink (liner), Plushlash mascara
- Cheeks: Notable
- Lips: Buzz lipglass

Look: Matching with Orange
Posted by Heather | Filed under Bobbi Brown, Brown, Gold, Looks, MAC, NARS, Orange, Smashbox, Yves Saint Laurent (YSL)
Orange can be a difficult color to match with. Since I got the NARS Mediteranee e/s duo, I wanted to wear it. So I chose a nice outfit with brown and decided to pair it with some brown shadows with gold highlights. I really like the end results. I know that orange eyeshadow can be a very bright color for some people to pull off, but if you can do it, I think you should!

For this look I used:
- Eyes: UDPPS (primer), Yaby Pearl Paints in orange (base), NARS Mediteranee (whole lid), NARS Mekong (outer lid & crease), Smashbox Oyster (highlight), Bobbi Brown Chocolate Shimmer Ink (liner), Plushlas mascara
- Cheeks: NARS Love Joy + NARS Albatross highlight
- Lips: Pink Grapefruit lipglass

Look: Happy Halloween!
Posted by Heather | Filed under Black, MAC, Orange, Silver, Smashbox, White, Yaby
I know I know, long time, no post! I actually am home all weekend, and I did a neat little Halloween look to go out to lunch and hang around the house with, and I took the time to take pictures and post it for you! :-) I’m not really into costumes and crazy (crazier?) makeup. MAC actually asked me to work today, but I passed, as I am surely not experienced at doing halloween makeup. So what kind of makeup do you wear on halloween when you don’t wear a costume? Black and Orange of course! It looks really nice IRL…the fade looks fantastic, but I’m not sure how well the camera captured it. But also, this is a neat look for me because it’s the first one I’ve documented in our new house!!! :-D
I hope you all have a fun, safe, and Happy Halloween!!!

For this look I used:
- Eyes: UDPP (primer), Painterly PP (base), Yaby Pearl Paints (white & orange), Crystal Avalanche (inner lid), Orange (rest of lid & lower lid), Smashbox Envy (outer lid & crease), a touch of Chrome Yellow (between the white and orange), Nylon (highlight), Bobbi Brown Black Ink (liner), Smolder Kohl (waterline), Chanel Exceptionnel mascara
- Cheeks: Superduper Natural mineralize blush
- Lips: Nice Mix Up lipglass

Look: Pigments Barely Used (great for fall)
Posted by Heather | Filed under Bobbi Brown, Looks, MAC, Orange, Red/Maroon, Yves Saint Laurent (YSL)
This is a great fall look – a type of burnt orangish color, and I love the way it looks. It’s pretty bold. Fall is coming…it’s in the air…can you feel it…? (I can’t yet…it’s too hot lol!)

For this look I used:
- Eyes: UDPP (primer), Painterly PP (base), Off the Radar Pigment (inner lid), Copperbeam pigment (middle lid), Heritage Rouge (outer lid & crease), Shimmertime Pigment (highlight), Bobbi Brown Black Ink (liner), Plushlash mascara
- Cheeks: Merrily mineralized blush
- Lips: YSL Rouge Pur #41 l/s + Honey Bare Tendertone

Look: Colors of the Sun
Posted by Heather | Filed under Brown, Looks, MAC, NARS, Orange, Smashbox, Yaby, Yellow
Ok, well they’re not that bright. I don’t know why, but orange eyeshadow totally intrigues me! I’m so fascinated with it, and I am determined to make every color eyeshadow work somehow. Can’t say the same for lip colors unfortunately – bright pinks, severly dark, or bright opaque colors on my lips just looks wrong, and I can’t get over it enough to wear it out. Eyeshadow, on the other hand, usually has me blending anywhere from 4-10 colors together, so I can make any color work (they all play nice together). I really wanted to use some flame-like colors with this look, as well as incorporate my new NARS goodies (Mekong = pure love btw!). You’ll be seeing some more orange-inspired looks soon too. Thoughts?

For this look I used:
- Eyes: UDPP (primer), Yaby Pearl Paints oranges (base), Smashbox Flamingo (inner lid), Smashbox Torch (middle lid), NARS Galapagos (outer lid), NARS Mekong (crease), Smashbox Oyster (highlight), Bobbi Brown Espresso Ink (liner), Plushlash mascara
- Cheeks: Springsheen blush
- Lips: Smashbox Candid lipgloss

Look: Melon
Posted by Heather | Filed under Bronze, Brown, MAC, Neutral, Orange
I don’t use Melon pigment much, but I think I should :-) I know it’s one of Temptalia‘s favorite pigment bases, and for good reason! It’s got great shimmer!!

For this look I used:
- Eyes: UDPPS (primer), Rubenesque PP (base), Melon Pigment (all over lid), Bronze (outer lid & crease), Illusion (inner lid), Sugarshot (highlight), Bobbi Brown Black Ink (liner), Chanel Exceptionnel mascara
- Cheeks: Springsheen blush + Refined MSF
- Lips: Ravishing Creamsheen l/s + Spice l/l + She’s a Star lipglass

Look: Smoldering Spiced Chocolate
Posted by Heather | Filed under Bobbi Brown, Brown, Laura Geller, Looks, MAC, NARS, Orange, Pink, Red/Maroon
The texture of the shadows in the Spiced Chocolate quad is seriously unparalleled. The colors are so incredibly pigmented too…almost too much, but that’s ok. It’s a very unique set of colors, and I made a descently dark look with it.

For this look I used:
- Eyes: UDPPS (primer), Artifact PP (base), Spiced Chocolate quad, Bobbi Brown Chocolate Shimmer Ink (liner), Chanel Exceptionnel mascara
- Cheeks: Laura Geller Golden Apricot Mineralized blush
- Lips: NARS Dolce Vita lipgloss

Look: That Summer Glow
Posted by Heather | Filed under Gold, Looks, MAC, Orange, Red/Maroon, Yellow
This look was for a Memorial Day BBQ at my mother-in-law’s. I went for sunset colors and golden tones in this look. I also started using Sun Rush Lusterdrops – I mix one small drop in with my foundation, then apply over my whole face. So if I seem to look a little shiny, I’m not, it’s the “glow”. :-)

For this look I used:
- Eyes: UDPPS (primer), Cash Flow PP (base), Bright Future (inner & middle lid), Peppier (middle lid & crease), red side of Danger Zone (upper crease), Bronze (outer “V”), Soft Force (highlight), Blacktrack Fluidline (upper lashline), UD 24/7 Lucky (lower lashline & waterline), Chanel Exceptionnel mascara
- Cheeks: I mixed some Sun Rush Lusterdrops into my foundation and used Eversun BPB
- Lips: Sunsational l/s + Gold Rebel lipglass
