Nails: Essie Sew Psyched

Essie Sew Psyched is an army green color with light silver shimmer. I got many compliments - some wanting to know what the color was and where to get it! You know how there are two different types of compliments - ones that are just that, a nice gesture, and others that say something because they want to have it themselves? Really, I love either kind :-) Still…there was one or two people who definitely don’t care for the kakhi/army colors.

Nails: Essie Demure Vixen

This is not your mother’s mauve nail polish. It’s a sophisticated, beautiful shimmery light mauve pink that is flattering on nearly everyone! It’s definitely work appropriate. The subtle shimmer is gorgeous, and the color itself is very lovely. I kept admiring my nails when I wore this color. I believe this was 2 coats.
This is Essie Demure Vixen. It’s relatively new - from Essie’s summer collection. They are still out in stores, and I’ve even contemplated getting a back up. It’s going to be my go-to when I need a nice professional color.
I got some good pictures of this one. Check them out below!! Read the rest of this entry »
Nails: Essie Lapis of Luxury

This is a gorgeous color from Essie, called Lapis of Luxury. It’s a little brighter than a robin’s egg blue, but it’s not as bright as some of these pictures make it seem. It’s a little dustier than it looks in these pics. I like it, but I don’t love it on me. When I wore it someone made a comment about how I’m lucky that I can pull off such “wild” colors. This is wild?! Um ok :-)
See more pictures - there are some in the shade that are more true to color.
NOTD: Essie Mint Candy Apple

I have a serious love for everything mint. I love mint ice cream, candy, drinks, and POLISH! Ok, so I don’t eat my polish, but this mint green color craze makes me very happy. The color goes great with my skin tone, therefore I have a plethora of all kinds of mint green polishes. I’ll do a comparison for you over the summer when I get some time.
This is Essie’s Mint Candy Apple (with flash before clean-up). Two coats, and application was pretty good for me.
Essie polishes wear like iron on me…they just wear for days! I loved it so much after I wore it, I made a pedicure out of it and then got a back-up bottle (which I probably shouldn’t have done). Here’s a picture without the flash.
