Why it Takes 2 Hours

Like any girl who takes a long time to get ready, I have many steps in my regime. Most people don’t get it, but that’s ok because I do what makes me happy. And really, if makeup is my hobby, the only time I really get to dive into it is in the morning when I’m getting ready.

Keep reading for a list of my steps to get ready…

1. Wash my face & put in my contacts

2. Toner

3. Moisturizer (face and eyes)

4. Teeth (floss, brush, rinse)

5. Face Primer

6. Foundation

7. Concealer

8. Blush (sometimes cream and powder)

9. Loose powder or setting powder

10. CLOTHES!

11. Eyeshadow primer

12. Eyeshadow base

13. Eyeshadow (anywhere from 4-10 colors depending on the look)

14. Eyebrows (pluck, trim, fill in)

15. Eyeliner (top and bottom)

16. Eyelashes (curl and apply mascara)

17. Shimmer/cheek highlighter

18. Hair (straighten/curl)

19. Fragrance/Perfume

20. Jewelry (rings, earrings, necklace)

21. Lips (liner and lipstick)

22. Gloss (usually applied in the car!)

It takes me 2 hours to get ready too. My friends just don’t get it and are always mad at me because I take forever and it usually makes me run late. Atleast I know you understand lol!

Yay!!! I’m so glad someone else can sympathize! There’s just so many steps involved that there’s hardly any way to cut it down! I can do an hour and fifteen if I really rush, but it’s usually an hour and a half easy!
