Look/Review: Dior Sunset Cafe Eyeshadow Quint
Posted by Heather | Filed under Brown, Dior, Gold, Neutral
I wasn’t so sure about this quint….at first. After I took a look at the look pictures (which don’t even do it proper justice) and a closer look in the mirror, I discovered that I’m in love with it! It’s truly beautiful! The iridescent pearl that’s in the shadows makes the gold sheen stand out in every one of the 5 colors. Recently I’ve fallen hard for neutral looks and lighter eye combinations, which is very unlike me typically. Though some of you might be thinking, “wow that’s still a bold/smokey/not-so-neutral look,” but for me it really is. So this quint was amazing in that it gives me the color and shimmer that I love, but still produces a pretty soft and neutral eye.
To achieve the goldeness of this look, I used…
- Eyes: Christian Dior 5-Colour Eyeshadow Quint in Sunset Cafe (all 5 colors, center color in crease), UD 24/7 eyeliner pencil in Baked on water and lower lashline, Kohl Power eyeliner pencil in Black Karat on outer/upper lashline, and UD 24/7 eyeliner pencil in Honey on inner/upper lashline, topped with BE Buxom Lash mascara
- Cheeks: MAC Mineralize Blush in Merrily and Guerlain Terracotta in Indian Bronze
- Lips: Chanel Lipstick in Perplex topped with Chanel Glossimer in Red Shine (it didn’t turn out as great this time because I talked so much during the day!)
See more pictures of these fantastic colors!
And some not-so-flattering full face shots that I didn’t take until after a full day of work! Yep, that’s my key lanyard around my neck :-)
