Look: Smokey Silver Look for Ruth

Last weekend, we went over to my friend Ruth’s house for a steak dinner. This is the look I wore to her house. It was one of those looks (or just one of those days maybe) that I never felt like I could get right. I kept working on it to make it come out like I envisioned in my head, but I just couldn’t get it right. Ah well, here’s what came out of it all.

For this look I used:

Eyes: UDPPS (primer), Bare Study PP (base), Yaby Silver Pearl Paint, Pincurl + Rondelle (inner lid), Knight (outer lid), Deep Shade + Carbon (crease), Crystal Avalanche (highlight), Penultimate liner (upper lashline), Feline Kohl Power (waterline), UD 24/7 liner in Dime (lower lashline), Chanel Exceptionnel mascara
Cheeks: NARS Super Orgasm Blush + Petticoat MSF
Lips: Chanel Pink Praline lipliner, BE Buxom Lips in Trixie

Cheeks: NARS Orgasm Blush + Redhead MSF
Lips: Naked to the Core lipstick + YSL Golden Gloss #11

Look: Black Ore Solar Bits

Last summer there was a MAC launch called Neo Sci-Fi. It was an amazing launch with lots of new colors…and these new items called Solar Bits. I got two of them…one of them being Black Ore. They’re basically like pigments, but not as finely milled so they’re a little chunky. I didn’t apply it with any mixing medium, so it settled into the creases of my lids a little. Overall, a very smokey, sultry look!

Eyes: UDPPS (primer), Constructivist PP, Black Ore Solar Bits (whole lid & lower lashline), Black Tied (blended above lid & crease), Crystal Avalanche (highlight), Feline Kohl Power (upper liner and waterline), Chanel Exceptionnel mascara
Cheeks: X-Rocks blush
Lips: Coach Sienna Legacy lipstick + MAC Monogram lipgloss in Distinguished

Look: BBR Smokey Grays

I pretty much used strictly BBR products for this look, and it really came together nicely. At first I was a little bored with the eyes, but later on it grew on me (usually does), and I decided I liked it. It’s a really simple look too, so try it!

For this smokey look I used:

Eyes: UDPP as a primer, Greenstroke Paint Pot as a base, Pincurl on the inner lid, Knight on the middle to outer lid, Top Knot on the outer lid and crease, and Femme Fi on the brow bone to highlight. I lined the upper lashline with Penultimate liner, and the waterline with Phone Number eyeliner pencil (also released with BBR, but I still have it from Heatherette in 08), then finished with BE Buxom Lash mascara.
Cheeks: Enough Said Beauty Powder Blush with Blond MSF to highlight
Lips: Blow Dry lipstick topped with Live & Dye lipglass

Look: Dark Soul with Highlights for New Year’s Eve

This was my New Year’s 2008 look. It came out nice and I was really happy with it.

Here’s what I used:

Eyes: Dark Soul pigment (with Mixing Medium) as a base all over lid. Vellum on inner lid, Knight Devine on middle lid, Beauty Marked on outer lid, and some Sketch in the crease. I used Crystal Avalanche to highlight the brow bone. UD 24/7 eye pencil in Zero is what I used for my liner, and finished with MAC’s Plushlash mascara.
