Look: Some New Corals

I had all of these new strange coral eyeshadow colors so I decided to combine them all. I say “strange” because corals are a difficult color to use on the eyes, at least for me. I find the same thing for really light or true pinks. Of all of the new eyeshadows I’ve bought lately, I think I’ve only gotten like 1 pink that doesn’t lean purple. :-)

For this look I used:

  • Eyes: UDPP Eden (primer), MAC Coral Crepe PP (base), MAC Tissueweight (inner lid), MAC Hot Hot Hot (middle lid), MAC Cut to Fit (outer lid), NARS Mekong (crease), MAC Teddy Kohl liner, Chanel Exceptionnel mascara
  • Cheeks: MAC Ripe Peach two-toned blush
  • Lips: MAC Pret-A-Papier lipgloss

Look: Little Miss Perfect

As soon as I swatched my new High Voltage shadows, there was one that caught my eye right off the bat. It’s name: Little Miss Perfect. It was a color I almost didn’t order, but am sooooo glad I did! It’s a powder blue with an embedded yellow/gold. So interesting! The yellow really comes out when it is applied wet. Yay for a Bruin eyeshadow!!! :-P

For this look I used:

  • Eyes: NARS Eyeshadow Primer (primer), High Voltage Little Miss Perfect wet (whole lid), Sugarpill Magpie wet (outer lid), Sugarpill Stella (crease), Makeup Store Goldglow (highlight), Sugarpill Stella wet (liner), UD 24/7 Binge (waterline), MAC Haute & Naughty mascara

  • Lips: MAC Baby Blooms lipgloss

Look: Red Eye

Have you ever tried wearing red eyeshadow? I’m sure your answer is probably no, unless you’re a makeup junkie like me. Red eyeshadow is just not a color that is out on the market really…I think it’s something about the red dye that is typically used not being safe for the delicate eye area. Thank goodness Sugarpill fixed that nonsense!!! This is a red that does not turn pink or orange, nor does it fade. And what to pair better with a bold red eye than black-based maroon pigments that end up looking…black :-)

For this look I used:

  • Eyes: NARS Eyeshadow Primer (primer), Sugarpill Love + (whole lid), Fyrinnae Fyre & Ice (outer & upper lid), MAC Bloodline pigment (crease), Sugarpill Dollipop (above crease), Sugarpill Tako (highlight), Bobbi Brown Black Ink (upper lashline), MAC Smoulder Kohl (waterline), MAC Haute & Naughty mascara
  • Cheeks: MAC Merrily mineralized blush
  • Lips: NARS Scandal lipgloss (lightly), NARS Tripple X lipgloss

I felt so bold and daring, yet confident wearing this look on a random Wednesday at school. You have to be confident when you wear something bold, and then you can pull off anything. No one said anything about it…which either means it did look ok, and typical “Heather”, or they didn’t want to say anything negative, ha! What are your thoughts? See more pictures!! Look: Rainbow Eyes for Halloween

Last night Jason and I went to a small gathering with some friends, and we were not going to dress up. We just really don’t like dressing up for Halloween. However, I’ve always wanted to do rainbow eyeshadow just for fun, and since it was Halloween, what better time to get away with wearing it out of the house?! I did this look using nearly all Sugarpill shadows. The lashes were like feathers on my eyes. This look reminds me of those colorful clown wigs or something :-) I enjoyed wearing it for halloween…what better excuse?! What was even more awesome was that several of the girls at the party loved it and complimented me! Awwww :-)

For this look I used:

  • Eyes: NARS Eyeshadow Primer (primer), (from inner corner to outer corner) Red: Sugarpill Love+, Orange: Sugarpill Flamepoint, Yellow: Sugarpill Buttercupcake, Green: Sugarpill Midori & MAC Sassy Grass, Blue: Sugarpill Afterparty & Sugarpill Royal Sugar, Purple: Sugarpill Poison Plum, Sugarpill Dollipop and Tako (highlights), UD 24/7 Zero liner, MAC #42 Lashes, MAC Haute & Naughty mascara
  • Cheeks: MAC Love Joy Mineralized BPB
  • Lips: MAC Heartless Lipstick, MAC Redd lip pencil

Look: Goldilux Glory

Wowie! This Sugarpill Goldilux is like the best gold ever! This gold and black smokey eye was like whoa! How did I forget to take a picture of a closed eye?! Seriously?! Ugh. Oh well. You can pretty much see it in the full face shots. This look was truly stunning in real life. The gold GLOWS. The High Voltage shadows are dark with some gold sparkle, so they matched perfectly. And look how well they blended together! *sigh* I am in love :-)

For this look I used:

  • Eyes: NARS Eyeshadow Primer (primer), Sugarpill Goldilux (inner & middle lid), High Voltage Stargazer (outer lid), High Voltage Dark Romance (crease), MAC Femme-Fi & Sugarpill Tako (highlights), High Voltage Dark Romance (wet)(liner), High Voltage Stargazer (wet)(lower lashline), MAC Orpheus (waterline), MAC Haute & Naughty mascara
  • Cheeks: MAC Refined Golden bronzer
  • Lips: Guerlain Rouge G #14 lipstick, MAC Bling Black glimmer gloss

Look: Black Base Yields Green

I love wearing greens. This time, I switched it up a little. As a base, I used black, then layered green pigments over it. The color on the inner lid is actually a pretty sheer white pigment with green undertones. Look how it pops over the black! The middle color is more gold than green, but it fits the category. I was really happy with the way this look turned out. And the lipgloss kicks butt - I love it! There’s just no better combo than green with gold and coral! :-)

For this look I used:

  • Eyes: NARS Smudgeproof Primer, MAC Blackground PP, MAC Painterly PP, Makeup Store Soft Grass pigment (inner lid & brow bone), Fyrinnae Aztec Gold pigment (middle lid), Fyrinnae Boytoy (outer lid), MAC She Who Dares mineralized duo (green side) (outer lid), MAC Femme Fi (highlight), MAC Jealous Kohl Power (upper lashline), UD 24/7 Mildew (waterline & lower lashline), MAC Opulash mascara
  • Cheeks: MAC Bite of an Apple blush, MAC Truth & Light Magically Cool Liquid Powder (highlight)
  • Lips: MAC Strange Potion lipglass

Look: Fyrinnae Pinks & Purples

I’m soooo into these indie brands lately! I am really loving pigments more than anything else right now. I’m sure it’s a phase, but it’s a phase that I’m really enjoying! Fyrinnae is ONE of the best brands out there (only available online), and I have lots of pigments from this company. Everything is vegan, and they have their very own chemist making the cosmetics. What is so great about this company is that you can order samples of the pigments for less than $2 each! And a sample from Fyrinnae is bigger than a little baggie - it’s a small jar that would take you LOTS of looks to finish. I love this brand and am currently plotting my next order. However, everyone else out there seems to love them too, so sometimes they take down their site to control the number of orders, and shipping does take time. They’re a small company, but WELL worth the wait!

  • Eyes: NARS Smudgeproof Eye Primer (primer), MAC Painterly PP (base), Fyrinnae Healing Touch (inner lid), Fyrinnae Kitten in Heels (middle lid), Fyrinnae Faerie Glamour (outer lid), Fyrinnae Fyre & Ice (crease), Makeup Store Angel (highlight), MAC Point Black (upper lashline), UD 24/7 Ransom (waterline), MAC Opulash mascara
  • Cheeks: MAC Briar Rose Beauty Powder
  • Lips: MAC Wrong Spell lipglass (thin layer), MAC Resort Life lipgelee

Here is another look using more of the items from the MAC Venomous Villains collection. I used at least one thing from the eyes, to the cheeks, to the lips - all from that collection!

For this look I used:

  • Eyes: NARS Smudgeproof Eye Primer (primer), MAC Painterly Paint Pot (base), MAC Her Alter Image (inner lid), MAC Vile Violet (middle lid), MAC My Dark Magic (outer lid & crease), MAC Vellum (highlight), YSL dark green liquid liner (upper lashline), UD 24/7 Ransom (waterline), MAC Opulash mascara
  • Cheeks: MAC Briar Rose Beauty Powder
  • Lips: MAC Wrong Spell lipglass, MAC Resort Life lipgelee

Look: Venomous Villains Shadows

Here is a look using some of the products I got from the MAC Venomous Villains collection. It’s very fall looking, which I love. I wish the weather would understand that it’s supposed to be fall here in Southern Cali.

The shadows are sorta chalky and dry, but I did my best.

For this look I used:

  • Eyes: NARS Smudgeproof Eye Primer (primer), MAC Soft Ochre Paint Pot (base), MAC Sweet Joy (inner lid), MAC De-vil (middle lid), MAC Vainglorious (outer lid), NARS Night Fever (crease), MAC Femme-Fi (highlight), Bobbi Brown Chocolate Shimmer Ink (upper lashline), MAC Teddy Kohl (waterline), MAC Opulash mascara
  • Cheeks: MAC Bite of an Apple blush
  • Lips: Guerlain Gabby (07) Rouge G lipstick
