Look: Copy Kitty - Aqua & Mauve

The look I did today was to copy the other Hello Kitty palette - Too Dolly. It has a very light highlight color, an aqua color, a mauve-purple color, and a dark gray color. So I used similar colors in honor of “launch day”. However, I was a bit peeved to find out that it actually launched this past Monday!! Ah well, I have my stuff now and I’ll be posting about it later. In the mean time, check out my copy cat look!

For this look I used:

  • Eyes: UDPPS (primer), Rollickin’ PP (base), Sky Blue (inner & middle lid), Crème de Violet (outer & upper lid), Print (crease), Vapor (highlight), Night Sky Glitter pencil liner (upper lashline), UD 24/7 Flipside (lower lashline), UD 24/7 Zero (waterline), Chanel Exceptionnel mascara
  • Cheeks: Stark Naked Beauty Powder Blush + Dior Pink Diamond Shimmer
  • Lips: Romancin’ lipstick + Frozen Dream lipglass

Look: Dior Quint in Earth Reflection

dior-earth-reflection

Dior’s Irridescent quint shadow palettes are so beautiful to look at. Their textures are velvety and usually the color pay off is descent. I’d like it to be more, but I think the shadows themselves are just light in color overall. So I did a look using Dior’s Earth Reflection palette. It’s great for soft neutral looks! For me, the color was kinda boring brown, so I tried my best to make my eyes pop with the teal liner on the waterline.

For this look I used:

  • Eyes: UDPP (primer), Painterly Paint Pot (base), Dior quint in Earth Reflection, Mystery Kohl Power (upper lashline), UD 24/7 liner in Electric & Covet (layered), BE Buxom Lash mascara
  • Cheeks: Enough Said Beauty Powder Blush
  • Lips: Chanel Rose Rebelle

I’m in love with the lip color itself (a new lipstick). It’s from Chanel’s new Bohemian Fantasy collection. Normally I don’t go for the more mid-tone pinks, but this one has a frost to it that really makes it beautiful. I wasn’t too crazy about pairing this lip with this look, so later in the day I went with a different CK color instead.

Look: Bronze with a Touch of Teal

At first this look came out a little muddy, so I tapped some teal into the inner corner to pop it out a little and make the look come together. I think it did the trick!

For this look I used:

  • Eyes: Copperized Pigment w/ Mixing Medium as a base, Fiction (inner lid), Mythology (middle lid), Bronze (outer lid), 100 Strokes (crease), Femme-Fi (highlight brow bone), and a sweep of Blue Absinthe (inner lid). MAC Pearlglide liner in Spare Change to line the upper lashline and waterline. Finish with BE Buxom Lash Mascara.
  • Cheeks: Brunette MSF
  • Lips: Marquise D’ lipstick topped with Soft Wave lipglass

Look: Aquas and Blues (Finally, something different!)

Well, my intention was to duplicate this look from Temptalia. Mine came out much softer and less intense, which might be good or bad. I used pretty much the exact same colors she did, but maybe waited too long and the colors didn’t “stick” as well. I suppose I could have worked to brighten it up some, but I liked the way it came out overall anyway :-) At least it’s something different than the usual stuff I’ve been doing.

To build these aquas, I used:

  • Eyes: Azreal Blue Pigment w/ Mixing Medium as a base, Tilt on the inner lid, Shimmermoss on the middle lid, Electric Eel on the outer lid, Freshwater in the crease, and Gorgeous Gold to highlight and on the brow bone. I lined the upper lashline with Mystery Kohl Power, the waterline with UD 24/7 eyeliner pencil in Electric. I smudged Gorgeous Gold eyeshadow on the lower lashline and finished with BE Buxom Lash mascara.
  • Cheeks: Enough Said Beauty Powder Blush
  • Lips: Guerlain KissKiss Lipgloss in Fraise a Croquear 821
