Look: Subtle Intensity

My combinations of yellows and blues aren’t gonna go away anytime soon :-) I just have too many UCLA and Edison MS shirts, and they beg for me to do yellow and blue looks to match! This look, I felt, came out subtle - as in, it’s not in-your-face. But it’s still pretty intense when you look at the makeup. I loves it :-)

Look: Sorta <3 it…

Meh, not a great look this time. I think I needed liner on the bottom or something… It’s just light, and doesn’t do it for me, but hey, maybe it’s more someone else’s style? :-)

Look: Sometimes It All Comes Together

This is one of those looks that I felt really came together the way I wanted. I love the combination of yellows and blues, and I get to do it a lot with all of the UCLA shirts that I have. :-) It almost looks kinda green huh? Go figure haha! ;-P I’m really fond of the way that it all looks with the blush, lipstick and eye look all together. Best part? It’s actually a really easy look to create. Some simple yellows and blues with blue liner. Easy!

Look: Graphic Garden

Holy awesomeness! I love this palette! Ok, I’ve only done one look with it, but I really like it - full of color (which everyone knows is how I like it)! I like this one even more than the Fresh Cut palette…not more than the Kat Von D palettes though :-) Close second!

Look: Awesome Frosted Lips w/ Blue Eyes

Before I move on to the cosmetics of this post, I have to give a shout out to my girls: Marie & Christie! My husband and I went up to Santa Barbara this weekend to visit our friends Taylor and Marie. We also met up with my husband’s college roommate Eric, and his fiancée Christie! This was my first time meeting Christie, and the first thing she asked me was what look I was wearing (to be posted soon), then she said she was a big fan of my blog and was even sporting the Honey Love look! OMG I was soooooo flattered! It was just neat! So I gotta say HI! and thanks for reading my blog! Marie reads too, and was telling me about how several of her coworkers do too - and I was just so surprised, because I don’t know who reads/looks unless they leave a comment. So here’s a shout-out to Marie’s friends and coworkers at the iMac store (not to be confused with the MAC store lol)!

Ok…on to the makeup…

I’m a huge fan of frosted lip colors. It’s hard finding good ones though, so I’m highly impressed with MAC’s Madly Creative lipstick which came out with Colour Craft. As for the Fashion Patch MES quad…meh. It’s ok…not bad enough to take back, but not good enough to rave about either. Stay tuned though…I’ll be raving about some quad’s I’ve discovered (not so new, but I just jumped on the bandwagon) very soon!

Look: Chanel Murano Quad for Fall 2009

Yay! I’m so excited that Chanel has finally come out with another beautiful quad! I haven’t been impressed by their quads since they released Beiges de Chanel. This quad is beautiful just to look at, and the colors on the lid do not disappoint. The texture is what you’d expect from Chanel: buttery soft and smooth application. The colors are just as they appear in the quad, though the light blue color is more frosty than I’d expect. It’s a pretty look - not quite blue, not quite teal, but somewhere in between. It’s my new favorite Chanel quad…and I look forward to going through the whole thing :-)

Look: Another Laura Geller Favorite

The only thing that sucks for me when it comes to mineral eyeshadow (MES) is just that…the mess they make! There’s a lot of fall out, but as long as you can maneuver around that, it’s worth it. Yeah, so I used the same shadow for the inside and the middle - since it’s marble swirled together, there are lighter spots and darker spots. I used the lighter baby/silver blue for the inner lid, and the darker navy for the middle.
